Phenylketonuria (PKU)

DDC Clinic offers a nutritional program specific to individuals diagnosed with PKU.

PKU patients are born with an enzyme deficiency that inhibits their ability to process normal protein levels. Because of the inability to process proteins, a normal/typical diet can lead to profound physical and mental damage to PKU patients. This applies to both children and adults.

DDC Clinic provides low protein food at reduced cost to families affected by PKU. We offer foods such as spaghetti, macaroni & cheese, and bread.
